Latching relay, also: Remote or pulse switch; switches on due to an electrical pulse and switched off by another pulse. The devices in series SIR were originally developed for use in the SI system. However, they can be used universally thanks to their 24 V impulse technology. This impulse relay design is suitable for mounting in electrical distribution boards. The bistable load relay SIR 16 L relay is a component of the SI system and can also be used as an installation relay for system-independent control functions. Due to its many inputs, it can be integrated in central-ON and central-OFF commands or operated as a monostable relay. The SIR 16 L is especially suitable even for high inductive loads thanks to the special design of the switching relay.
